SAF-HOLLAND UK opens the doors of its expanding UK sales operation.

SAF-HOLLAND PLC, one of the world's leading manufacturers of trailer and truck components, has completed the rebranding and upgrading of its premises in Shepshed, Leicestershire, which it acquired from its UK distributor, IMS Limited in 2022. Now known as SAF-HOLLAND UK, the company has completely refurbished the exterior and interior of the building and has significantly invested in its onsite warehousing.

The restructured UK management team is headed up by Managing Director, Andy Dyer, previously MD of IMS Limited from 2005. Dyer takes strategic responsibility for the Group’s brands SAF-HOLLAND and SAUER Quality Parts in the UK and Ireland. He also will manage the UK interests of the brands AXSCEND Ltd; the telematics and connectivity solutions provider, and HALDEX, the recently acquired Swedish braking system specialist.

SAF-HOLLAND UK MD Andy Dyer said; “It’s genuinely a very exciting time for us and our UK customer base. SAF is more closely connected to the transport operator than ever before by virtue of owning and managing the UK sales operation. There are immediate benefits for us operationally, and with the significant investment SAF has made in warehousing, our customers can expect improved response times across the entire product range including parts. What’s perhaps even more interesting are the strategic product development opportunities. Not only do we have the strength of SAF-HOLLAND’s innovative axle and suspension systems, now with HALDEX and AXSCEND joining the fold, we can develop fully integrated, harmonized mechanics and electronic sensor technology. When we sit down with our customers, we can realistically discuss the development of truly advanced transport solutions embracing the digitalization and networking of trailer axles and their onboard systems.”

He continues; “In support of the new brands we’ve acquired, we’re currently consolidating the management team here in Shepshed which will provide substantially expanded pre-sales technical support and a more efficient logistics process associated with ordering and fulfilment.”
